Chocolate Protein Smoothie to Power Up Your Morning

Mornings in our house are pretty much chaos. It’s nothing short of a miracle if I get out the door on time with the boys. But no matter how crazy the morning gets, there is one thing I refuse to sacrifice and that’s making sure we all eat a filling, nutritious breakfast. Sure, on some days clothes may be a little wrinkled or hair may not be perfect (it’s pretty much a ponytail day everyday right now), but breakfast is non-negotiable. A balanced breakfast is key to making sure you have the energy you need to be at your best throughout the day. Without breakfast, you are more likely to feel lethargic, be forgetful, and have more difficulty concentrating and being productive. And if you are tired and struggling to get anything done, your stress levels will just be compounded. I definitely don’t need that and I am sure you don’t either!

This post was developed in partnership with Bolthouse Farms. All opinions are my own.

Eating a balanced breakfast is a necessity, but finding the time to do it can be a challenge. That’s why smoothies are my go-to on busy mornings when we need to be out the door on time. After recently discovering Bolthouse Farms Plant Protein Milk, it has become my new favorite ingredient for every smoothie I make. This non-dairy Plant Protein Milk is made from pea protein and contains 10 grams of plant-based protein, making it the highest protein option of all non-dairy milk alternatives. In addition, it contains 50% more calcium per serving than dairy milk. Italso does not contain common allergens like dairy, nuts and soy, but is still creamy and delicious. Combine it with a handful of other ingredients, and it blends into a perfect breakfast smoothie that works for every member of the family, no matter their dietary restrictions or nutritional needs. Bolthouse Farms Plant Protein Milk is easy to find in the refrigerated milk section of grocery stores nationwide including Kroger, Safeway East, Shaw’s and Publix. Visit bolthouse.com to find a store near you.
