Happy New Year!
Did you make a New Year’s resolution this year? I don’t want to knock resolutions, but did you know that most people get off track with their resolutions by mid-January? That’s not exactly the best success rate. How about trying something different in 2020?
The main reason most resolutions fail is because we try to make too big of a change at once. And that’s a recipe for burn-out! The key to making lasting change is in thinking small. I’m talking about REALLY SMALL. Like a change that requires about a 1% effort. A change so small, it barely feels like a change at all. Because when a chance feel like it requires very little effort, it’s easy to stick with. And a change you are consistent with is a change that will have the greatest impact.
Think about it this way… would you even notice one snowflake falling out of the sky? One snowflake by itself seems like nothing. But when it combines with thousands of other flakes… and then develops into a snowball… now it becomes something. Now that snowball has momentum. Now it can make an impact. And it’s the same thing with health changes. One tiny change alone seems like no big deal. But combine that with many little changes, day after day, and now you have something that will make a big impact on your health.
So to highlight how these small, simple changes can impact your health in a positive way, I want to invite you to join my ’30 Days of Healthier Habits’ challenge this month. It’s easy, it’s free, and you can win some great prizes (how’s a $100 Amazon gift card sound?!).
Each morning, I will share with you one very simple healthy habit to focus on for the day. All you have to do is follow me on Instagram @ErinPalinskiWade, check my page each morning for your new challenge, and comment to let me know how you do.
And for each comment on my IG page, you’ll earn another entry into the contest. Want even more chances to win? Tag a friend in my comments who could benefit from the challenge as well & you’ll get another entry for every share! That’s it! On January 31st, I’ll announce the grand prize winner & we will all develop healthy habits we can actually stick with for the year.
Will you be joining me?
